The 2025 Ford Explorer has two EcoBoost® engines available, each providing capable and efficient power. Elevate performance with the available 3.0L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Each engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission, utilizing either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or intelligent four-wheel drive (4WD). When properly equipped, the Ford Explorer boasts a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
