The 2025 Escape comes with four engine options. The standard one is a 1.5-liter that pumps out 180 horsepower. It pairs with an 8-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, but you can get all-wheel drive as well. This powertrain returns up to 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.

You can also get the Escape with a 2.0-liter, an 8-speed auto, and standard all-wheel drive. This combo makes 250 horsepower and is rated for 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. There’s a 192-horsepower, 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain that serves up 42 mpg in the city and 36 mpg in the highway. The 2.5-liter also comes with a plug-in hybrid setup, which offers an all-electric driving range of 37 miles.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the Escape is roomy and offers tons of legroom on both rows. The base Active trim has cloth seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch gauge cluster. Optional amenities include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power front seats, and a panoramic roof with a power shade. There’s also an optional 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster with amazing graphics.

Infotainment Tech

The Escape comes with a standard 8-inch touchscreen display, but you can upgrade to the optional 13.2-inch display. Both run on Ford’s SYNC 4 software, which offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. FordPass Connect offers a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot to keep you and the crew connected on the go. You also get a six-speaker stereo, which can be optioned with a 10-speaker B&O sound system.

Cargo Capacity

With a 37.5 cubic-foot trunk, the Escape lets you carry everything you need for your journey. You can also fold down the rear seats to access up to 65.4 cubic feet of space. The available power liftgate lets you access the trunk with just a press of a button on the liftgate.
